FAQs
How long is the Waterfall Trolley tour?
The round-trip narrated Trolley Tour is 1 hour and 34 minutes. You can hop on/off at any stop you like, or enjoy a delightful day on the trolley.
Do I need a permit to visit the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls?
Yes, but not if you ride the Waterfall Trolley! A timed-use permit is required for all private vehicles using the I-84 access.
I’m worried about parking. Where can I park?
Free parking is located at our first stop:
Corbett Grade School
35800 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Corbett, OR 97019
Are there bathroom/food stops available on the tour?
Food is available in Corbett, at Vista House (Coffee Bar 10 am- 3 pm Thursday-Sunday), and at Multnomah Falls Lodge. Bathrooms are available at stops 1, 2, 3, 4,6, and 7. For a full description, see our full FAQ’s.
Is the trolley wheelchair accessible? How about the stops?
Our trolleys are wheelchair lift-equipped and have the capacity for two wheelchairs. Please give us a 48-hour notice when requiring wheelchair space. The historic highway was designed well before ADA accessibility guidelines were considered, and thus, many are not designed for website access. You can find more details about each stop in our FAQ’s.
Can I board the trolley for the first time at any of the stops?
Yes, but please be aware that parking is extremely limited and potentially expensive at Multnomah Falls and along the route. Please show the driver your online ticket when first boarding. Tickets must be bought online or at our ticket booth in Corbett.

“We are so glad we used the trolley! They made it very easy to get to the sites we wanted to see. We watched other folks looking for parking and were thankful we made the trolley choice. All the drivers were friendly and helped answer any questions we had.“

“This is the best way to see any & all of the waterfalls on the Columbia River Gorge, especially in the summer. It’s only $35 and you park your car in Corbett (eliminating parking hassles) and ride the trolley via a Hop On Hop Off system to all the waterfalls.“
